Wedding in the Hamburg Harbour in ‘Fleet 3’
Julia and Florian exchanged vows in the congregation Bugenhagen-Groß Flottbek. As a wedding photographer it was my first time in this petite but charming Church. Shortly after the ceremony the weather wasn’t on their side anymore and it started pouring rain. Good that there was a small canopy, in which I was able to take a few photos before we headed off towards “Fleet 3” in the Hamburg Harbour. The wedding guests were picked up by a classic Hamburg Doppeldecker. Of course we didn’t miss the opportunity to take a quick photo inside the bus, while it was raining outside.
When we arrived at ‘Fleet’, there was no sign of rain anymore so you always need a little bit of luck. Obviously I was really happy about that, since I was planning on taking pictures at the old blue barn door. The wood just has a lovely patina, I dig that. Julia and Florian didn’t seem to mind the weather sway and were simply happy on their big day. As a wedding photographer you just need to capture those wonderful moments. With fireworks, good food and a lot of good mood the party lasted until the late evening.
